



FIRING SERVICES

Atelier Forma provides firing services (bisque and glaze).
To book a kiln for bisque or glaze firing:

Purchase the clay (if required). Clay purchase is only available with firing service.

Purchase the bisque or glaze shelf

Drop off your pieces:
6918 FABRE: On Sunday 11:30 am- 2 pm, but it's always good to email us the day before.
4561 ST LAURENT: On Saturday 10 am-12:30 pm, but it's always good to email us the day before.
Once your pieces are ready, you will receive an email to come to the studio to pick up your work.

If you need to use our studio to glaze your pieces, please contact us to reserve the time. Note that if you choose to use our studio to glaze your pieces, you will receive a separate invoice for the studio time and glazing fee (see image).
- You can book 1h glazing class to learn how to properly glaze your work (we will provide a demo piece for the class). Please book minimum 24hrs prior to the class.
Example of complete firing service with clay from our studio:

5kg clay $30

1 shelf bisque firing $25

1 shelf glaze firing $30 (glazing in our transparent glaze is included if the clay is purchased at our studio)

Minimum 1h of studio time at a cost of $20/h
Total: 105$
ANY DAMAGE TO THE KILN CAUSED BY YOUR GLAZES WILL BE YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.
Important:

Clay from outside of the studio is allowed, but please send us an email with specifications.

Purchase of the clay is only available with firing services.

Make sure all pieces are fully dry when you bring them (to be bisque or glaze fired)

Glazing of your pieces in our food-safe transparent glaze is included in the price of our firing services only if your clay is purchased at our studio (The fee for use of the studio is an extra 20$/h).

If you choose a different type of glaze from our studio, there is a fee of 5$ - 10$ / piece, see the table (see image).

If you are using glazes from home, please send us an email with specifications and firing temperatures.

The bottom of each piece, plus 2 mm on the side of your piece must be well cleaned, with no traces of glaze. It must be left unglazed so that it does not stick to the shelf.
Atelier Forma does not take any responsibility for pieces that crack during the firing. Cracking can occur at any time during drying, bisque or glaze firing.
