This is a 2-hour workshop with a demonstration of how to make kurinuki teacup, bowl, or vase. Kurinuki is a traditional Japanese hand-building method that includes carving out a cup from a solid block of clay. 

This workshop is perfect for beginners or anyone who has never touched clay.

One (1) final piece will be available for pick up 4 to 5 weeks after the workshop. The piece will be glazed with a white glaze.

  • If you wish to keep more than 1 piece, it is possible to do so with the extra cost of 10/piece. For this piece, you can choose from selected glazes. 
  • If you wish to change the glaze color, it is possible to do so at an extra cost of $5/piece. 

To make the most of your class: arrive with short nails, remove all jewelry, and wear clothes you do not mind getting dirty, if you are reserving for a young child, the child must be able to reach the floor with their feet, while seated on the chair.
