VASES AND TALL FORMS WORKSHOP 4-WEEK SPECIAL FOCUS WORKSHOP

Intermediate-level wheel-throwing workshop. Previous 6-week session of level 1 experience required.

Whether grounding a joyful splash of colour or providing a centrepiece at a table, ceramic vases provide elegant visual counterparts to the organic shapes and textures of seasonal flowers. 

In this special focus wheel-throwing workshop, we will explore the creation of large-format vases and curvaceous forms. With an emphasis on rounded flowing profiles and structural capacity for height, weekly 2.5h  guided classes will provide a variety of demonstrations and techniques to support students in throwing and trimming their own custom vases. Additional 2h of open studio time on the weekend will be available for students to further develop their work. 

You will be able to create several vases or taller ceramic forms or a small series reflecting on the overarching theme. Pieces will be glazed with any glaze of your choice.

Your work will be available for pick up 4-5 weeks after the workshop. New workshop dates will be added at the end of every month.
