Kids Pottery Class: Best Afterschool Program

Format: 1.5-Hour Drop-off Session | Age: 7-11 years old.

Focus: Handbuilding, Image Transfers, and Surface Carving

If you are looking for exciting indoor activities, this 90-minute session empowers kids to create lasting art using real-world techniques. Whether joining our afterschool program or a weekend session, kids will love hand-sculpting their very own set of ceramics such as plates, bowls or tiles.

Students will learn the fundamentals of handbuilding while exploring "magic" image transfers, applying custom graphics directly onto clay. Using professional tools for sgraffito & carving, they’ll ensure every piece in their one-of-a-kind set of plates, bowls or tiles is truly unique.

The Goal: Create and each keep 2-3 unique pieces.

The Perk: We handle the glazing and firing for you—just pick up your finished work 4 to 5 weeks later. All work is glazed in transparent glaze. 

The Vibe: We are creative, social and engaging pottery studio.

Extra: If you wish to keep more pieces, it is possible with an additional cost of $ 12 / piece.

To make the most of your class: arrive with short nails, remove all jewelry, and wear clothes you do not mind getting dirty. If you are reserving for a young child, the child must be able to reach the floor with their feet, while seated on the chair.

Cleaning: We know this is not fun, but we need to clean our stations and leave the space the way we found it, this is why the scheduled duration encompasses a 15-20-minute window dedicated to cleanup. Also, owing to limited capacity, we request that guests arrive no sooner than five minutes prior to the commencement of the program.
